Blake Little is an award winning Los Angeles based photographer best known for his ability to capture, with an honest intimacy, the energy and personality of his subjects. His skills as a portrait photographer have garnered him a reputation as a favorite amongst celebrities, international publications, and corporate clients.

Blake Little was born and raised in Seattle, WA. After studying for 3 years at the University of Washington, Blake transferred to Seattle Central College where he completed his photography degree in 1984. After college, Blake moved to Los Angeles and became part of the vibrant 1980’s LA Art Scene. Blake’s outstanding artist portrait series which included David Hockney, John Baldessari and Ed Ruscha, lead to commercial assignments in the entertainment industry.

Amongst others, Little has worked with Tom Cruise, Mike Myers, Jeff Bridges, Julianne Moore, Steve Carell, Samuel Jackson, Gwyneth Paltrow, Aaron Eckhart, Marcia Cross, Colin Powell, kd Lang and 50 Cent, Glenn Close, Jane Fonda, Jack Black, Adrien Brody, and Jane Lynch. His corporate clients include Sony Pictures,Warner Brothers, Paramount Pictures, Twentieth Century Fox, Simon &Schuster, Penguin Random House, Virgin Atlantic and many others. Little has photographed for such publications as London Times Magazine, Entertainment Weekly, People Magazine, Time, Los Angeles Magazine and ESPN the Magazine.

Little’s work has been exhibited in New York, Seattle, Los Angeles and Japan and has resulted in four monographs, his first book “Dichotomy” in 1997, “The Company of Men” in September, 2011, “Manifest” in September 2013 and “Preservation” February

The Preservation photographs won 2 prestigious awards, American Photography AP29 in 2012 and second place in the fine art nude category of the Int’l Photography /Lucie Foundation Awards in 2013.
